Ask your MP to support UK international aid
Please use our ‘write to your MP’ tool to help protect aid for women and girls around the world.
Keir Starmer has announced that the UK will cut government spending on Official Development Assistance (ODA) from 0.5% of GNI to 0.3% by 2027. Following the dismantling of US international aid, there couldn’t be a worse time for these changes.
The cuts will plunge the UK’s aid budget to its lowest level in 25 years, and will not be enough to fund the defence increase needed – but the cuts will make a huge difference to the communities impacted. It is the poorest people and communities who will pay the price, from women on the frontline of the climate crisis in Senegal, to survivors of gender-based violence in Afghanistan.
Please use our tool below to write to your MP, asking them to call on Keir Starmer to reconsider this decision and reinstate support for women and families around the world.
